Technician Development Services

As Technician in the Development Services team you are responsible for (co-developing), validating and implementing new molecular diagnostic assays. You like the combination of conducting experimental work in the laboratory with independent data analysis and reporting.

For each project there is a dedicated team with a Scientist and fellow Technicians. In this project team, you can take responsibility for all kinds of tasks, like design and planning of the project or contact with the client. Projects usually last 4-6 months, you and your team will be in charge of several method development projects at the same time. You like the variety and have the flexibility to switch between the different projects.

The following taskswill be part of your responsibilities:

• You take part in design, implementation and validation of molecular diagnostic assays together with scientist
• You prepare and organize experiments in order to produce reliable and precise data
• You perform hands-on laboratory work, independently or together with colleagues
• You document, interpret, process the test results, draw conclusions and discuss these in a team-setting
• You ensure good document practice (GDP)
• You write standard operating procedures (SOPs) and other documents required for performing the assays

ou are focused on quality and always pay attention to detail. As a born problem solver, you have a proactive work attitude. You make it to your personal goal to complete the projects successfully. What helps you to be successful are your communication and organizational skills. And like already mentioned, switching between projects does not cause you stress, but makes this job even more attractive for you.

• You have a bachelor degree in a life science field
• You have relevant working experience in in method development Molecular Biology or Life Sciences
• It is an advantage if this is with performing the following molecular biological techniques DNA/RNA isolations, (q)PCR and preferably next generation sequencing (NGS)
• Good English language skills, both verbally and written
• You are available for 32-40 hours a week
