Key Account Manager France

You are seasoned in the food ingredients sales for child nutrition/infant food, petfood, medical nutrition and supplements. You’d like to leverage your knowledge of the French market and your current relationships with accounts to grow existing Key Accounts and  develop new accounts in a self-reliant way and you’ll be joining an ambitious company expanding further into Europe with exciting plans!

The task of the KAM is to develop the French market including some key accounts that have a French origin or strong presence in France (Danone, Nestle, Isigny, Symrise, Lactalis etc.). Your focus is on growing the business in infant food, petfood, medical nutrition and supplements. It is a new role in an ambitious and growing multinational company that currently has several sites in Europe.

As the European office is located the Benelux, you will work from home or travel to meet with clients. There will be occasional travel to the office in the Benelux and head quarters in North America. You will be supported by a dedicated customer service representative. Your reporting line is to the Director Sales EMEA. The company language is English.

Your responsibilities:

  • Growing existing key accounts
  • Developing the French market and bringing new accounts
  • Collaborating in the European sales network
  • Preparing and presenting key account strategies and budget status
  • Presence at and strategies for international tradeshows
  • To effectively use CRM
  • Supporting marketing campaigns and developing customer specific presentations or product specific presentations.

Profiel kandidaat

We strongly believe that you need to be entrepreneurial, tenacious, super energetic and dynamic to have fun and to grow the business! A Bachelor education in commerce, business administration or life science is desired. Proven B2B experience in sales is required: earlier experience as Key Account Manager or Account Manager, Sales Manager. A person having sales experience within human and animal nutrition ingredients business, health/wellness and/or pharmaceutical business is preferred. Selling in France requires a native French speaker - you are fluent in speaking the language and writing at a professional level. A driving license is required.

Strong relationship building skills, negotiation and problem solving and collaboration skills. In addition, excellent communication and presentation skills are the basis for successful client management and longstanding customer relationships. A natural focus on customer service is required. Earlier experience or willingness to work independently and within a remote international team.
