Procurement Manager
Job description
We are seeking a senior-level Procurement Manager to lead procurement activities and supplier management. The ideal candidate will develop and execute procurement strategies, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost efficiencies while ensuring the highest quality standards.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Procurement Manager for food and specialty ingredients, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction for their procurement activities and ensuring the execution of day-to-day procurement operations.
The ingredients are destined for the production of premixes, supplements, and infant nutrition producers and are sourced from all over the world (China, USA, India, EU). You will analyze turnover rates and forecast specialty and food ingredients to provide data for market reports for internal and external use, ensuring timely and quality delivery to their clients.
You will work within their Supply Chain team and help them further professionalize into a data-driven procurement department. The role will report to the Operations and Technical Director and is based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Requirements
- Relevant experience in a commercial purchasing, sales, or trading role, preferably in the food or food ingredients industry.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree, preferably in Supply Chain or Business Administration.
- Strong verbal and written skills in English; other European languages or Chinese are considered an advantage.
- Familiarity with MS Office, advanced user of MS Excel, and a strong understanding of ERP systems (Business Central experience is a big plus). Familiarity with Power BI is an asset.
- Strong (project) coordinating skills. Affinity with logistics.
- Ability to help us continuously improve the overall processes and services.
